Ball-Chatham Food Pantry

Families who wish to apply for assistance may call 217-697-4663 or email food@bcfoodpantry.com. Once an application for assistance is approved, an appointment is made and clients must arrange to pick up their food order at the Pantry located in the west wing of Chatham Presbyterian Church, 1835 E. Walnut St., Chatham, IL. Families with substantial demonstrated need may apply for food orders every 90 days, up to four times a year.

Volunteer

Volunteers assist with many tasks at the food pantry including grocery shopping. package preparation, shelf stocking, inventory, and more. Training is provided for all interested in helping with the pantry’s mission. Please call 697-4663 or 483-4204 or email food@bcfoodpantry.com.

Please complete a BCFP Volunteer Form, and return to the pantry located at 1835 E. Walnut St., Chatham, IL.

In addition, volunteers are always needed to plant, weed, water, and harvest at the newly established Food Pantry garden, located at Chatham Presbyterian Church. Each growing season, the garden provides fresh vegetables for the pantry client packages.

Donate

The Ball-Chatham Food Pantry welcomes food donations. Items often in need are canned vegetables, fruits, soups, tuna, beans and chicken; cold cereals, pasta, peanut butter, jelly, fresh meat, fresh fruits and vegetables, lunch meat, milk and eggs.

Donations may be dropped off weekdays, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Food Pantry, 1835 E. Walnut, Chatham.Other drop-off times may be available by request.
